Okay all you women out there. I am the owner of DatingandLove4U.com and I know how hard it is to figure out what guys want. I know because I am a guy myself, and I will have to admit  we can be some pretty tough creatures to figure out.

But here are some sure signs that a guy is really in to you.

-  If you find him constantly staring at you then its pretty safe to say that he is interested. Guys stare at a woman for a reason and that is because he wants to get to know her.

- If you are in a setting with other people around and a guy cracks jokes about you in front of them and gives you a hard time then chances are he is interested in you. I dont know why girls,  but us guys love to crack jokes around the women we find attractive. It is just part of the mating ritual I guess !

- If you notice a guy sweating around you when he talks at any length of time with you then chances are he likes you.  A guys blood pressure goes up around women he likes  and also  other body functions increase too like perspiration !

- A guy who fumbles with his words or is at a loss for them when he is around you  more than likely is interested in you.

- Blatantly speaking if a guy puts his hand on your shoulder or back then he really likes you. Now as a women you need to tell him this is not appropritae if you feel uneasy when this occurs. But if it is not somethng that bothers you then take it as an indication he digs you a whole lot.

Like I said men can be hard to figure out. But if he likes you he will definitely exhibit one of these characteristics  that have been mentioned above.

I know most people will automatically say that going to Church and being an active part of the Congregation is by far a better place to meet someone than a place like  a Bar.

Of course in many cases you might be right. But I can tell you that I have many friends and family members who are happily married to people they met out on the town at a dance club or Bar. I have seen this countless times. And incidentally I met my beautiful wife at a honky tonk bar in Nashville !!    And we have been married for 3 yeas and have two beautiful kids now.

I also know many people who have met their better half at Church and other type of religious functions.

I think my point here in this Post is this…..Please do NOT write off different places and unorthodox places to meet people. Sure, sometimes Bars are not the best place to meet people.  But the fact is people have been falling in love with each other after meeting initially in a Bar.

We are all human beings and although there are some people who go to Bars for a one night stand there are many who dont.

And conversely do not write off going to a Church as a good place  to meet people. Some think of a Church as being full of  ‘ snobby better than thou’  type of people. But once again just remember that people are people and there are all types of people  who attend Chuirch.  So dont rule out this place to meet someone.

So you ask me which is a better place to potentially meet that special someone in your Life ??  Well, there is no best place really. The fact is where there are people, there will be the possibility of meeting someone who could totally turn your Life upside down for the best.

Just keep an open mind and keep your eye open !! 

Wow, these days its hard to find people who have been married 20 years straight let alone over 50 years. Well, my parents just celebrated 53 years in June. And it is amazing to see two people sharing their lives with Love and Commitment like they do.

Dont get me wrong when I was a young boy I remember my parents had some pretty intense fights and arguments. They had a few up and downs just like everybody else. But they always reconciled , and I think the most important ingredient that has kept their Marriage thriving (and many others for that matter) is keeping a strong line of communication open.

Being able to communicate with your significant other is paramount , and in the long run it will determine if your relationshipwill  last or not. That is just the bottom line !

I see so many couples who get into fights and arguments and they NEVER resolve that particular dispute. They end up coming back together,  but they never completly resolve the issue they were arguing over. So what happens in this case ? Well, resentment swells up inside the individuals  but they bury it and over time it just festers inside them. This puts a strain on the relationship and will no doubt cause problems down the road.

My wife and I have arguments and disagreements on a regular basis. But we rarely go to bed without resolving the issues we were arguing over.

Also I think it is important that at least one person should be the so called ‘hero’ in the relationship when hard times do occur. This is something that Dr. Phil has mentioned and it makes sense. When two people in a relationship start to really get heated over an issue its important that at least one person reigns sensibility back in and keep a cool head. That person should realize that it is not worth it to get all heated up and that the relationship is more important than that. Remeber cool heads always prevail.

Anyway, I think everyone can take a lesson from my parents. And realize there will be tough times in any relationship. But that a  belief that the relationship and love you have for your significant other will ALWAYS outweigh any issues that may arise between the two of you !! 

Hey guys. Me, wifey, and the kids are heading into vacation mode here in the next few days. I am looking forward to it. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary a few weeks ago.  Time really flies !!

Anyway, I get asked alot on how I met my wife. So you really want to know ?? Well the fact is  I met my wife 5 years ago at get this…….. a BAR !! Thats right one of those places that are supposed to be no good for nothing except getting drunk at and hooking up for one night stands !!

I think many people would be surprise on how many human beings have met their spouses at Bars. The number is probably higher than you think.

And this is really an important point that I have talked about  in the past  on this Blog and that everyone should make note of. That is do not write off someone just because you met them at a place that is historically frowned upon to meet people…….like Bars and Clubs !!   Some of the happiest Marriages have been initially one night stands that turned into  serious relationships.

Now dont get me wrong. I think that there may be other places that could be better options than meeting people  bars. Places like Church, via friends, via family, dating services etc.. But just remember to all you single people. When you go to a singles bar and think that there are NO quality people there , what does that say about you ?? In other wards there can and often is quality people at these places just like you !! So dont be so quick to write off people at that saturday night honky tonk.

You just might be writing off your future wife or husband.

Hey guys, just got back from eating out at a really nice restaraunt. We had the two kids with us and we didnt even plan to make an evening of it. We went to Target and Kohls to get some diapers and clothes for our daughters. Its our 3rd Wedding anniversary today. I bought my Wife 3 dozen White Roses delivered to our doorstep. She was totally thrilled. We got married in Maui in April 2007.

Anyway, we decided coming back that we would stop off at a local restaraunt at the last minute. Well, the girls were so cooperative throughout the whole meal. We stayed over an hour. I had a  basket of hot , delicious hot wings for an appetizer. My Wife had a house salad for her appetizer. For the main course I had 9oz of grilled sirloin steak along with a baked potato and vegetable medley. It was really. really good. My wife had peppercorn steak and veggies. She loved it too.

We had great conversation and Kenzie our oldest daughter seemed to enjoy hersewlf eating her red apple. We loved it !! 

You know what guys ?? I forgot how simple things like taking your partner or date out to eat can be so fulfilling. It can set a great mood between two people. So when you get a chance take a date or loved one out to a decent restaraunt and just enjoy yourselves.

I will just leave you with this…………….Please guys whatever you do in Life ALWAYS take time to smell the roses and just enjoy everyday you have on this Earth.

I found that out tonight. How simple things can really add to your Life. Being with Family or people you care about is really the most important thing in Life. Thats what Life is all about.

Carpe Diem, folks !!

Hey guys. As many of you already know I have been in a serious relationship for the last 5 years and incidentally 3 of those 5 years I have been Married to that person !!

And some may also know that I am over 12 years older than my Wife.

You may ask has this ever caused any friction or awkward moments in our Relationship ??

Well, honestly it never has. We both keep in good shape physically and we both have similar interests in Life and both have compatible demeanors when interacting with each other. I am cant speak for all couples out there by the age difference has not been a detriment in our relationship.

There are some people who will always say that you should be in close age to your potential mate. You know what, I dont disagree with that. I think if you can find someone that is close to age to you and that you t ruly Love and want to grow old with then you have the best case scenario.

But here is the thing : Love is unpredictable and you cant always pick who you fall in love with. So if you are really into someone and they happen to be 10 or 15 years older than you, dont write them off because of this difference. You may regret it some day if you do.

Remember, many people in this World go through Life without ever finding their true Love.

So if you by chance do find that true Love, whether they be 100 years old and purple polka dot with pink hair, please consider the deeper things about that person and just go with your gut feeling  and how they make you feel.

Life is too short not too !!

Okay, sometimes I look at people and wonder whether they want to continue going thru people like underwear in online dating ; taking this person out and then this person and then going on to that person and dating, dating and more dating.

If you are a person who does this and keeps on going thru new people left and right then you need to take a step back and ask yourselves do you really just want just have fun and date the rest of your Life ??

There is nothing wrong with just being a so called lifelong dater . If that is your thing then more power to you.

But many people out there really want to find a long term relationship with another person but dont know how to do it. They just keep doing the’ merry go round’ Dating and cant figure how to get off it !!

Well, the most important factor is to identify what person you want and what kind of person you are looking for as a long term commitment. Once you do this then you will be able to identify where to find these particular people.

If you want to find a sports minded person who loves adventure why not check out a gym or a place where people are physically active.
If you want a scholar who is sophisticated going to a bookstore or Library might be the thing for you.
If you want someone who loves to travel then you could go on a singles cruise.

The possibilities are literally endless…………

So the point is if you want to just date your whole Life and thats your thing……..then go for it. But if you want a monogamous long term relationship then take a step back and analyze what you want in Life and just act appropriately to get it !!

Okay me and the wifey have been intently watching ‘the Bachelor’ on TV the last 2 months. Jake is the single guy (or bachelor) who is looking for the women of his dreams and his potential wife with this Show.

It makes for very good entertainment with all the caddy cat fighting between the women contestants. And there is much drama especially as one of the female contestants strays a little bit and engages with a relationship with one of the producers of the show. Who incidentally gets fired and the girl is asked to leave the show. Its all good fun.

Seriously though, I have a real problem with the premise of the Bachelor. And especially the bachelor himself, Jake. Jake goes on about how serious he is in finding his wife among these women contestants.

Jake narrows his choice down to four women and proclaims over and over how in Love he is with them or that he is falling in love with ALL four of these women.
And on top of this the Show has excerpts where he goes to each one of the girls’ hometowns to meet their parents. Well, each time it shows Jake running up to each woman and hugging them and telling them how much he has missed them. And that he cares so much for them, kissing them with a deep tongue. And this is just right after he did this with two of the other women before.

This really makes me and my Wife feel like puking !! Its sickening.
Honestly, I ask you all out there is this a natural way to fall in love with that special someone ??
To go from one person to the next and tell them the exact same thing you told another person the day before……….how much you miss them, kissy, kissy, lovey doey etc..etc.. ??

Well, just a little bit of advice to you guys and gals out there…The Bachelor is good entertainment but that is about it. This type of format is not realistic nor natural in the Romance department. I would be careful in your journey to find Love and make a note to NOT look at it as a numbers game .

Look for one person and one person only to share your affection for. NOT a whole slew of people.

But thats Hollywood for you !!
